"My life's work has been inspired by conservationists like Annie Wyatt who knew how to dream as well as having the 'steadfastness of purpose' to carry these dreams to fulfilment", said Janine Kitson a former National Trust Director. "It's time for more independent women to step up to protect NSW's built, natural and cultural heritage, "That's why I'm standing." concluded Janine Kitson. The Annie Wyatt Garden commemorates the lemon scented gum tree that Annie Wyatt and her Ku-ring-gai Tree Lovers' Civic League planted in the 1920s.
