Electrify 2515 talks to Bradfield

Wal Knowles will talk about his experiences of putting solar panels on the roof of his home.

Wal Knowles has lived for most of his life in the Bradfield electorate and is a renowned local identity. In 2019 he was awarded the Ku-ring-gai Council Senior Citizen of the Year. In 2018 he received the Lions Club Community Service Award for Services to the Environment.

Wal knows how urgent climate change is. That's why he is committed to putting solar panels on his room.

Kristen McDonald will talk about Electrify 2515 a community project that aims to electrify the suburbs of Austinmer, Clifton, Coledale, Scarborough, Thirroul & Wombarra near Wollongong,

Kristen, the co-ordinator of Electrify 2515, is passionate about climate justice.

Electrify 2515 is 100% volunteer-driven by residents and is working to get its households go electric in SIX ways:
1) Rooftop solar
2) A home battery
3) Cooking
4) Heating your home
5) Hot water
6) An electric car (EV)
